The Hello Story

In 2005, Sharon Soliday had to make a choice: dropping off her six-year-old daughter at school or being at her SLP job.

She left her job, started the company that would become The Hello Foundation, and found a way to do both. Our Hello community has since grown to include thousands of individuals and families that share our beliefs and have benefitted from the stake we put in the ground. Our values drive our business. Because yes, we’re professionals (some of the best you will ever meet, in fact), but we’re also moms and dads, aunts and uncles, sons and daughters. We’re a community. We dreamed a bigger dream for clinicians and families, and that dream continues to evolve as we are now a part of the larger Care Options for Kids Community.

What We Do

We are SLPs, SLPAs, OTs, and school psychologists dedicated to celebrating perseverance, tenacity, and hard work

I’ve always held a strong belief that all children deserve and should have the right to equitable access to the resources that they need to develop into adulthood. I choose to be a conduit for that access. I believe that struggle is necessary and perseverance is a part of life’s growth, however, that should not be a qualifier for a child’s reliance and success. I do what I do, to help children. I do what I do, to help others help children. I do what I do, because I believe in the power of a shared vision of helping children.

Being a recruiter has taught me how much I love to help people find a job that makes them happy and fulfilled. A job that they can make a difference in, and I can help them get there. I love being that connector.

The basic ability to connect with each other is something we often take for granted. I love that as an SLP, we work hard to understand the many complexities of this innate desire and strive to help children, adolescents, and adults achieve these connections. I believe in giving a voice to vulnerable populations through providing tools that can ultimately help them to form relationships with others. Relationships give us support, encouragement, and the motivation to communicate with each other and reach our full potential in life!

OUR CORE VALUES: 4 SIMPLE IDEAS THAT GUIDE EVERYTHING WE DO

We put kids first in every decision we make. We believe that centering kids helps to lower the stress often associated with working in and engaging with the helping professions. Less stress means more energy to spend on the specialized needs of the kids we serve.

Our specialists strive to provide the highest quality service to each child, district, and family they serve. Our company strives to provide the highest quality service to each specialist we employ. Our team is the best in the business, and we invest in them so that they can invest in kids.

The adage “put your own oxygen mask on first,” is essential to our work. We support our staff both professionally and personally, at work and at play, because it is only a happy, healthy specialist that can authentically show up for the kids and families they serve.

We believe when we give of ourselves to our wider community, we gain a foundation of gratitude onto which our business and our clinicians can build. When we work from a place of gratitude, our hearts and minds are open to the brightest possibilities for the children we serve.
